Massage Therapy

Deep Tissue:

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.

It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.

Shiatsu (Hot Stone)

The shiatsu practitioner combines palm and finger pressure along with rotation, structural movement, and stretching techniques to stimulate the smooth flow of energy throughout the body. Shiatsu works effectively with chronic pain, reducing body-based stress and increasing flexibility.

Therapeutic stone massage promotes physical and spiritual balancing by using the energies of warm volcanic stones to relax the body at its deepest level. This ancient healing modality moves energy to depleted areas, relieves sore muscles, and produces a soothing and meditative state of peace, calm, and balance.

Thai massage

In an atmosphere of reverence and meditation, the therapist guides your body through a flowing sequence of yoga-based stretches, while applying rhythmic pressure along the energy pathways and points. Each session is designed to meet your individual needs and abilities.

Foot Reflexology

Reflexology is the physical act of applying pressure to the feet and hand with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands with a premise that such work effects a physical change to the body

Acupressure

Acupressure is an ancient healing art using the fingers and other parts of the body to skillfully press key points, which stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. When these trigger points are pressed, they release muscular tension, and promote circulation of blood, and the body's life force energy to aid healing. Acupuncture and acupressure use the same pressure points and meridians, but acupuncture employs needles, while acupressure uses gentle to firm pressure and integrates bodywork therapies, therapeutic touch, somatic work, healing imagery, energy psychology, and massage therapy techniques.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical technique for unblocking chi (ch'i or qi) by inserting needles at particular points on the body to balance the opposing forces of yin and yang. Chi is an energy that allegedly permeates all things. It is believed to flow through the body along 14 main pathways called meridians.  When yin and yang are in harmony, chi flows freely within the body and a person is healthy. When a person is sick, diseased, or injured, there is an obstruction of chi along one of the meridians. Traditional Chinese medicine has identified some 500 specific points where needles are to be inserted for specific effects.
